Description

The CBAS Driver/Program Aide is responsible for the delivery of high quality, patient-centered nursing care and is able to work with cognitively, physically and socially stimulates each ADHC participant. He/She demonstrates automotive operating technical skill, initiative and is able to perform driving duties carrying participants with safety & security. Excellent documentation & attention to detail is required.  Need to keep a detailed transportation log book.  He/She may also assist with other program functions such as preparation and organization of all activity related requirements and other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School graduate
  • Class B or C California driver’s license with passenger endorsement in good standing
  • *Driving record will be checked by insurance company to verify insurability before employment
  • Experience working with the geriatric population
  • Possesses TB clearance (within the last year) & current CPR certificate
  • If class B license is required must have current medical certificate
  • Ability to offer appropriate and empathic support to patients
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of tools, arts and crafts and music would be helpful
  • Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and responsibility
  • Able to communicate with the language used by participants (Chinese)
  • Able to understand & complete all required paperwork like logs & time-sheets (English)
